At the same time, the production of color coated boards invested by many private enterprises mostly adopts domestic equipment, with small production capacity, but it is fast to launch and low investment. The products are mainly for building materials and decoration industries. In addition, foreign capital and Taiwan capital have also landed to build color coating units, but most of them are concentrated in coastal areas. Since 1999, with the prosperity of the color coated plate market, the production and consumption of color coated plate have entered a period of rapid growth. From 2000 to 2004, the production increased at an average rate of 39.0%. By 2005, the national production capacity of color coated plates was more than 8 million tons / year, and a number of color coated units were under construction, with a total national production capacity of more than 9 million tons / year.

Existing problems: 1 Although the production capacity of hot-dip galvanized base plate for building materials is large, there is a lack of good base plates such as flat hot-dip galvanized steel coil without zinc flower and zinc alloy coated steel coil; 2. The variety and quality of domestic coatings can not fully meet the demand. The high price of imported coatings reduces the competitiveness. The plastic film required for film color plate still needs to be imported, and there is a lack of high-grade color plate with thick coating, functionality, high strength and rich colors; 3. The products are not standardized, resulting in a serious waste of resources. There are too many low-energy units with a capacity of less than 40000 tons / year, and there are problems in product quality and environmental resource protection; 4. There are too many new color coating units in China, which far exceeds the market demand, resulting in low operating rate of many color coating units and even shutdown.

Development trend:

First, the use of high-quality substrate requires higher and higher requirements for the surface, shape and dimensional accuracy of the substrate. For outdoor use, such as small zinc flower flat hot-dip galvanized steel coil and non zinc flower flat hot-dip galvanized steel coil, zinc alloy hot-dip galvanized coil rising in time; For indoor use, such as galvanized steel coil, coated cold-rolled sheet and aluminum coil.

Second, improve the pretreatment process and pretreatment liquid. With less equipment and low cost, it has become the mainstream process, and constantly improve the stability, corrosion resistance and environmental protection performance of the pretreatment liquid.

Third, the development of new coatings is to improve the general polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and plastic sol to obtain super color reproducibility, UV resistance, sulfur dioxide resistance and corrosion resistance; Develop functional coatings such as pollution resistance and heat absorption.

Fourth, the unit equipment is more perfect. For example, new welding machines, new roll coating machines, improved curing furnaces, and advanced automatic instruments are used.

Fifth, the cold embossing production technology has become a development trend because of its low cost, beautiful appearance, three-dimensional feeling and high strength.

Sixth, pay attention to the diversification, functionalization and high-grade of products, such as deep drawing color coating board, “grapefruit skin” color coating board, anti-static color coating board, pollution-resistant color coating board, high heat absorption color coating board, etc.

The current trend in China is that color coated plate manufacturers pay more and more attention to the quality of substrates used in their own production of color coated plates, and have higher and higher requirements for their own production process, which makes the color coated plates have an excellent contribution to the manufacturing process. Moreover, the equipment for producing color coated plates is also relatively advanced, which makes the color coated plates more and more fully automated in the manufacturing, which not only saves the cost, but also saves a lot of manpower, Moreover, there are more and more color coated plate manufacturers, and the market competition is becoming more and more fierce. Improving product quality and reducing product production cost have basically become the common practice of color coated plate manufacturers.
